Hmm...this movie probably surprised me more than any other film I thought I had a clue about, well, I did not. Let's see, a food crazy woman (Similar to "Like Water for Chocolate") uses cooking to do just about anything, please a man, make friends, or even kill. Her next door neighbor was raped at a young age by her father and since her pop was a butcher, she resents food, just can't stand the sight of it. What happens when these two meet? Well, you have a lot of flashbacks to help you sort through the entire thing, and you have one seriously demented cook trying to stuff a mentally injured writer. At first, I really thought this film will resemble "Eat Drink Man Woman" and arouse my hunger for food, but two scene made that impossible. First, the dog in the soup. Man that was sick. And then, the human meat getting carved up. Man, this sure did turn out to be one sick movie. This film was also my first encounter with a Korean film so it really did not do much to serve the film industry from Korea. Sad. Anyway, 1 go, things just made no sense and it was just a retarded idea for a film. Oh yeah, Carbonated Video labeled this film as "Hot." Except for the disturbing rape scene, there really is not much to see. ![]() | |
