BeatBeatBeat

A play directed by Louise Siversen

In October 2003, Louise directed her friend, actress/singer Alyce Platt in the play "Beatbeatbeat" for the 2003 Melbourne fringe festival.

It was Louise's first directing experience and here's what she had to say about it:

"BeatBeatBeat is an exploration of the questions that confront human beings as they move through their lives. The journey into the unknown territory armed only with one’s experience and courage.

I feel it is also a celebration of Alyce’s talent as a musician and actress. It allows a sharing of not only her unique and original songs and music but also the chance to marry those songs with pertinent thoughts and text, significant to the traversing of this individual journey.

The show has been designed in such a way as to allow the audience to travel into their own psyches voluntarily and in circumstance as in life. It has been a tremendous opportunity as a first time director to work with such a generous and gifted artist. May you enjoy the collaboration as we have....."
