"Edward C. Compher
Edward C. Compher died at his home in Washington Tuesday night of
complication, aged 67 years. He was formerly a resident of
Brunswick and from 1907 until a few years ago conducted a grocery
store in that town. Upon moving to Washington he engaged in the
insurance business. He is survived by his wife and two children,
Mrs. Marie Marks, Washington, and Charles Compher, Washington.
One brother, William Compher, Lucketts, Va., and three sisters,
Mrs. Laura Mock, Martinsburg, W.Va., Mrs. May Spittle, and Mrs.
Florence Shry, Point of Rocks, also survive. Funeral this
afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Brunswick Lutheran church, with
services conducted by the pastor, Rev. John C. Stuff. Interment
Lovettsville, Va., cemetery. C.H. Feete and Son, funeral
directors."

"HARRY C. COMPHER
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from Mt. Pleasant
Methodist Church, Taylorstown, for Harry C. Compher, 66, who died
suddenly at his home, Friday morning.
Mr. Compher was the son of the late Charles L. and Mary Ann (Snoots)
Compher of Loudoun County.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ollie Williams Compher and three
children, Harold, of Frederick; Marvin, at home and Mrs. Vatus
Nuse, Brunswick; three grandchildren, Jack and James Nuse and
Betty Compher.
Services were conducted by the Rev. A.F. Tobler of the Lutheran
Church of which Mr. Compher was a member, assisted by the Rev. Mr.
Emerich, pastor of the Methodist Church. Interment was in Mt.
Pleasant Cemetery adjoining the church." (died Nov. 28, 1941)

"MRS. ROSA B. CASE DIES IN PURCELLVILLE
Passes Away At Home Of Her Son In Purcellville On Sunday, Funeral
Services Held Monday
Mrs. Rosa B. Case, wife of the late George Case, died suddenly
early Sunday morning of acute indigestion at the home of her son,
Mr. Wheeler Case of Purcellville, Va.
Mrs. Case was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Snoots of the
Morrisonville neighborhood and was fifty-five years of age. Until
her marriage she made her home in Morrisonville and received her
education in the public schools of Loudoun.
Her death was sudden and a great shock to her many friends and
relatives. She was a member of the Lutheran church and much loved
by everyone. Her home life was much to be admired, where in her
home she had served so willingly the members of her family in a
most lovable and efficient manner.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. George Hunt of Washington D.C.,
and three sons, Messrs. Raymond, Wheeler and Dewey Case, all of
Purcellville. Two brothers also survive, Messrs. W.L. Snoots of
Purcellville and Charles Snoots of Lovettsville.
Funeral services were conducted Monday morning from the
Purcellville Methodist church by Rev. W.J. Whitesell. Interment
in Lovettsville Cemetery."
