Where You Use To Be
00 Shawna L.

It seems so long ago, I met you here.
This place that no one knows, or treads to go-
for fear of unwanted duties.
But now you forget the way,
but vividly in your head, you replay,
such memories last forever, but gone today.
It seems so long ago, you held me.
With a life time of promises do end with dreams.
Of other places, ones you've never been.
You lost this place, and will never be again.
Love was a place you use to be.
No one but us, you and me.
But now, I'm alone, the true you has shown,
and left me with the memories of where you use to call home.
In this bleak and shattered place,
falling like a teardrop too quick to embrace.
Me with my indignity, in a place of unwanted memories.
Tremble like waters, that fingers do disturb.
So where are you now?  Lost like me in a field of dreams?
In another place more beautiful then mine.
Do the flowers grow and the sun shine?
More heavenly, then that of mine?
