150 Horsepower driving power:
It makes the difference! In opposite to a 120 HP standard Elise the Thielert-Elise with 150 HP develops more driving fun in all speed levels. Both, the Lotus Elise Mk I and the New Elise can be converted with the power upgrade.

The overall improved torque reaches it's maximum of 180Nm at 4600 rpm, 80% of the torque is achieved at 3000 rpm. The maximum power of 150PS (113KW) is reached at 6700 rpm. The acceleration improves to 5,3 sec for 0 to 100 km. The maximum speed is 213km/h.

The use of streamlined valves in connection with an expansion of the intake and outtake valves and the optimisation of the combustion chamber result in a much better cylinder filling.

Our camshafts are specially developed for this engine and also improve the cylinder filling. There is no interference with the digital engine electronics. Compliance with the Euro3 Norm and registration are also standard.

180 HP Performance Data
Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4,9 seconds. Top speed is 225 km/h (140 mph).

Technical Details
After the conversion the Elise develops more torque than it's parent unit, climbing smoothly through the whole rev band to a maximum of 190 Nm at 6000 rpm. The engine reaches its maximum power of 132 kW (180 HP) at 7500 rpm. 
The rev limiter rpm has been increased from 7000 rpm to 
7800 rpm.
Thanks to the newly developed Electronic Control Unit, the car doesn't loose any of its everyday-driveability with the Thielert power-upgrade. 
In order to avoid harmful vibrations, a new torsional damper was designed.
The conversion meets the Euro 3 Exhaust Emission Standard.

Base Engines
Any Elise engine can be converted to 180 HP, including the standard Elise, the Elise 1.11 S (VVC-engine) and of course the New Elise. Our 150 HP version can also be upgraded to 180 HP.

Extent Of The Conversion
The engine is modified extensively. It includes a new cylinder head, the intake and exhaust ports are widened up and polished for improved airflow. In addition we install modified valves, valve seats and valve guides as well as a new intake plenum and a new exhaust manifold. The 180 HP conversion also includes a newly developed camshaft with an improved cam profile and a torsional damper to eliminate harmful crankshaft vibrations which occur at higher revs. The Thielert ECU (Engine Control Unit) with the corresponding software has control over the new distributorless ignition system and the injection system.

Warranty
The conversion comes with a one year warranty and unlimited mileage on the engine.
