WELCOME TO OUR BAKERY Throughout the years I've done alot of baking for our companions. Happy, Gretel, Brandy, Hanna, Doc and Cassidy are our "resident taste testers" at this time and never fail to let me know when it would be great to have the cookie jar filled with any or all of the following recipes. We would like to share their favorites with you.
Nikki's Liver Bait 1# beef or chicken liver with juice 1 cup of flour 1 1/2 cup corn meal 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Cut up liver and puree in blender. To this mixture hand mix flour, corn meal, and garlic powder. Spread on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 minutes. Cut into squares. 2# fills a cookie sheet and yields 26 squares. Freeze in baggies until needed.
Kodi's Favorite Dog Cookie 2 cups rye flour 1/2 cup vegetable oil 2/3 cup warm water 1/2 cup white flour 1/4 cup cornmeal Mix well. I usually add about 1/4 tsp. either vanilla or mint flavor. Roll out to 1/4" thick. Cut into shapes (I use a 3-4" bone shape cutter). Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Newf Breakfast Bars I love this recipe because it makes a lot & it's so easy. You just throw everything into the bowl, mix & pat onto 2 greased cookie sheets, no rolling or cookie cutters. 12 cps. oatmeal 4 c. whole wheat flour 8 eggs 3/4 c. oil 2/3 c. honey 1/2 cup molasses 2 cups milk 1 large can solid pack pumpkin (optional) 3 to 4 mashed bananas (optional) Preheat oven to 325. Grease 2 cookie sheets. Dump everything into a VERY large bowl. Mix this whole mess together (I use my hands. AFTER I take my rings off (that's another story). Pat onto greased cookie sheets & bake at 325 for 1 hour. After 1 hour turn oven off, crack oven door & allow cookies to cool in oven. Break into whatever size you want (mine like LARGE). These freeze really well. My guys love these, they sit in front of the oven waiting.
