The Fellowship of the Ring
I suppose you know the plot by now, right? If not, here's a summary to refresh your memory:
Frodo Baggins, nephew to Bilbo - famously known among the Dwarves - inherits a ring of power - THE ONE RING

The wizard Gandalf, instructs Frodo to take the ring out of the Shire, and to wait for him at the village of Bree.
When Gandalf does not show, Frodo and his comanions get worried, especially when they encounter Strider, a ranger, who informs them of the Ringwraiths:

With Strider as their leader, the hobbits make their way towards Rivendell, though on the way, Frodo is badly wounded by a Ringwraith.
As Strider tries to find the Athelas plant to slow the poison, he is confronted by the blade of a sword.
It turns out to be the elf maiden Arwen, who hurries to Frodo, and in her Elvish tongue, tells him to come back to the light:

Debating who to ride with Frodo to Rivendell, Strider finally agrees that Arwen is the swifter rider.
As Arwen rides to the Ford, and the safety of her home of Rivendell, she and Frodo are tracked by the Ringwraiths. Unable to outride them, she crosses the river Bruinen, where she confronts the Wraiths
As the Ringwraiths start to approach both Frodo, and herself, Arwen calls for help from the waves.
The Ringwraiths are washed away, but Frodo appears to be fading. Arwen asks for help once more.
When Frodo wakes up, he is in the House of Elrond in Rivendell, and is accompanied by Gandalf.
As Frodo reunites with his friends, and Uncle Bilbo, Gandalf informs Lord Elrond of Saruman's treachery and betrayal.
Elrond calls a council, to which a select few of each race on Middle-Earth are invited.
When Frodo delivers the Ring, a debate occurs about what to do with it.
Frodo also learns that Strider is really Aragorn, son of Arathorn, and heir to the throne of Gondor.
After a series of arguments and disagreements, a fellowship of nine is formed, to take the Ring to Mordor, and destroy it in the fires of Mount Doom where it was made.
The Fellowship set out on the journey to Mordor
With Saruman hot on their heels, the fellowship is forced to retreat from both the pass of Caradhras and the gap of Rohan, and decide to go through the mines of Moria.
In the mines, Frodo becomes aware of a shadow that has been tracking the fellowship. Gandlaf informs him that it is Gollum, the same creature who encounted Bilbo on his adventure, and who the Ring passed to after it abondoned Gollum.
On the last day through the mines, the fellowship encounter a Balrog of Morgoth - a creature of shadow and flame.
While crossing the bridge of Khazard-Dum, and after a successful attept at defeating the Balrog, Gandalf is forced down with it, into darkness, much to the dismay of Frodo and his companions.
With Gandalf presumed dead, the Fellowship emerge from the mines in grief and sorrow.
Aragorn takes up the charge of leadership, and guides the remaining 8 members to the woods of Lothlorien.
They encounter Haldir of Lothlorien, who (after much debate) allows the remaining fellowship to pass into the safety of Caras Galadhon.
There, the company meet the Lord and Lady of Lorien; Celeborn and Galadriel.
The Lady Galadriel looks into the eyes of each member, and learns of Gandalf's sudden departure, and the status of the quest.
As the company take rest, a lament is formed for Gandalf, by both the elves, and Samwise.
Boromir tells Aragorn about Galadriel, and how he heard her voice in his head.
Late on, Frodo wakes, and follows Galadriel into the glade
As Frodo looks into the mirror, he sees a series of images, past, present and future, including the Eye of Sauron.
Galadriel explains that if Frodo fails in his task, the images he saw of his friends and the burning of his home will 'come to pass'.
Frodo asks Galadriel to take the ring. As she explains how much she has desired for ths moment, she manages to resist the ring.
Frodo tells Galadriel he cannot do this alone. She responds by showing him the ring Nenya, and explaining she is its keeper.
Frodo then understands what he must do.
As the fellowship departs, they are given gifts by the elves; cloaks and daggers, as well as rope for Sam, and a bow, and arrows for Legolas. Galadriel gives Frodo the Light of Earendil, and says farewell.
The Fellowship pass the Argonath, and reach shore. While no-one is watching, Frodo slips away to continue his quest alone.
Unfortunately, he meets Boromir who attempts to take the Ring from Frodo. Frodo puts on the Ring, and while under the invisibility, runs away. As he sees the Eye of Sauron, Frodo takes off the Ring, and is confronted by Aragorn
Frodo offers the Ring to Aragorn, who declines the temptaion.
Reaching a mutual understanding, Aragorn allows Frodo to go to Mordor alone, and tells Frodo to run, as uruk-hai are approaching.
While Legolas, Gimli, and Aragorn battle the uruk-hai, Frodo begins to run for the boats, closly pursued by Sam.
Merry and Pippin try to distract the uruk-hai, allowing Frodo to escape.
Boromir then comes to the hobbits' aid, as they are about to be taken away by the uruk-hai.
Dispite the uruk-hai leader, Lurtz showering Boromir with arrows, Boromir fights bravely to protect Merry and Pippin, but collapses. The two hobbits are taken away. As Lurtz is about to fire the final blow, Aragorn appears an battles with him until Lurtz is defeated.
Legolas and Gimli arrive to see Aragorn beside the dying Boromir.
As Boromir dies, Aragorn puts on his gauntlets as a sence of honour, and sets his body to the waves.
Frodo reaches the boat and and appears to stop, unsure of what he is doing. He then remembers what Gandalf said in the mines of Moria
As Frodo grasps the Ring and pushes the boat into the water, Sam comes running down, and shouts for Frodo to wait.
Not taking no for an answer, and even being unable to swim, Sam wades into the water, but begins to sink. Frodo hurries to turn the boat around, and eventually manages to pull Sam out.
Frodo and Sam embrace and set out towards Mordor.
Aragorn Gimli and Legolas allow Frodo and Sam to go, and vow to find Merry and Pippin.
With that, both parties set out on the next chapter of their perilous adventure...
