January 30, 2001

Dear Dr. Woodcock:

The Lotronex Action Group coordinators and full membership appreciate your January 24, 2001 response to our letter of January 5, 2001. Since our group first wrote you, it is our understanding that the FDA and Glaxo Smith Kline have met to discuss the return of Lotronex to the marketplace. In my most recent conversations with Dr. Raczkowski and James Morrison, as well as Glaxo Smith Kline, I have requested that both parties move expeditiously to resolve this
issue as just about everyone in need has run out of medicine and are in great despair.

We are encouraged that discussion has taken place, however, we urge you and the FDA to make the resolution of this matter a top priority as many thousands of people are greatly suffering needlessly. It is my understanding that GSK is willing to move very quickly on this.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

The Lotronex Action Group

Tom Bell, Psy.D., Coordinator
Richard Fireman, Coordinator
Corey Miller, Coordinator

In Partnership with the IBSGroup

Jeffrey Roberts, President
