Throughout the journey to Rivendell, Pippin was not quite wanted by Frodo to be going on the journey alongside him. Not wanting to be left out, Pippin and his best friend Merry went anyway. During the council of Elrond, Pippin entered into the fellowship despite everyones opinion of not having him in it. After all, he made two huge mistakes during the War of The Rings. He dropped a stone down the well in Moria, and also looked into the Palantir. At the beginning of the journey, Pip was more of an entertainment to the fellowship, but later on he grew up and tried to protect his friends instead of entertain them. He was more careful. |
