| Hobbits are creatures that are not more than 4 feet high. They seldom wear shoes because of their hard leather feet with lots of hair. Hobbits usually have brown curly hair with Elf-like ears, only more wider. They are nature-loving peace dwellers and love to eat (they eat 7 times a day: Breakfast, Second Breakfast, Elevenses, Luncheon, Afternoon Tea, Dinner and Supper). Hobbits also love to give and receive presents; whenever it is someone's birthday, the one that's having the party must prepare gifts for the guests (in the movie The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowshop of the Ring, Bilbo is busy preparing gifts for all his guests) They seldom go on adventures, they're contented to just sit around all day and live in peace of the nature (oh yea, they're my kinda peeps!! ^^) |

| The Ringbearer, Frodo has a lot on his back. His cousin and guardian Bilbo left him the Ring when he went to Rivendell, and his friend Gandalf the Grey finds that Sauron is returning. When Frodo, played by Elijah Wood, gets to Rivendell to try and keep the Ring safe, he finds that Rivendell is not safe enough to hide it. He bravely volunteers to take it to Mount Doom to destroy it. Elrond creates the Fellowship of the Ring to guide and protect the Ringbearer. |

| Frodo's gardener, his loyal servant, and his best friend, Sam first joins Frodo on the journey to Rivendell when Gandalf finds him eavesdropping ("Have you been eavesdropping, Samwise Gamgee?" -Gandalf "No sir, I haven't been dropping any eaves!" -Sam). Sam was also eavesdropping on the "secret council of Elrond" in Rivendell, and when he finds out that Frodo's going to Mt. Doom to destroy the Ring, he jumps out of the bush he was hiding in and declared that he should go, too, to take care of Frodo. He does continue to care for "Mister Frodo" like he used to, and he has gotten a lot stronger and braver. Sam is played by Sean Astin. |

| Merry is the cousin of Pippin and Frodo, and he is the tallest of the group (just above 4 feet). He and his cousin Pippin often get into trouble (at Bilbo's birthday party, they set off a huge dragonlike firework, got caught by Gandalf, and had to wash the dishes..) Merry is played by Dominic Monaghan. |

| Pippin is a Took, which means he loves adventure. He gets in a lot of trouble with Merry, sometimes by himself (in Moria, he knocked over a skeleton & a bucket down a well which made the Orcs realize that the Fellowship was in the mines.. Gandalf was really pissed..) Played by Billy Boyd, Pippin is.. um... intelligent (Rivendell, when he and Merry said they wanted to go with Frodo: "There's gotta be somebody with intelligence in this sort of mission... quest... thing." -Pippin "Well that rules you out, Pip" -Merry), and has a good sense of time (second breakfast... those of you who watched the movie should know..) |
