| Scene 2 |
| ( Next scene: In a woodland clearing, near Bree. The Wraiths all look worried. Some are smoking, some are drinking coffee, and some are just pacing back and forth. The Wraiths will be referred to in this scene by number.) One: This is bad. Very bad. Three: We know! What do you think were all worrying about? One: Well its just that I.... Three: Shut up! That was a rhetorical question. We all know that the masters ring has been nicked by a halfling, and were supposed to get it back... Eight: Yeah! A halfling! We were upstaged by four little halflings! Four little people got away from us! The Nagzul! The human Ring-Bearers! The Wraiths! One: Look, all we have to do is find out where theyll stop next. And Ive got a bloody good idea where itll be as well... Other Wraiths: (At once): Where? One: Well, wheres the only place nearby thats fairly safe eh? Six: Dunno...Rivendell? One: Nearer than that. Three: Weathertop? One: Yup. Theres a very good chance theyll go there. Well have to beat em to it. Two: But what if that Gandalf guy is waiting for em there as well? One: Our Master has been keeping in touch with Saruman via the Orthanc stone. I have reassurances that Gandalf is safely on top of the tower, in the middle of an orc-drenched Isengard. Nine: Well lets get going then! (The Wraiths ride off with their horses, whooping and cheering) |
