The Middle Earth Diet
Here's a diet for the inhabitants of Middle Earth. This was taken from Legolas and The One Ring

The Middle Earth Diet is different and more reliable than most other diets. It follows the basic idea that its not what you eat, its who cooks the food and where it comes from that allows you to loose weight. This diet also allows you to get more than the required amount of exercise as it enables you to wander around Middle Earth finding the specific foods.

1st Breakfast: Sausages are a great thing to have when you wake up. If you cook them yourself they can be fattening so its best to invite Samwise Gamgee over to cook them for you.

2nd Breakfast: Apples. Try to get quite large apples so they will fill you up until lunch. The best apples are found in the Shire and are only available in large supermarkets.

* If you get hungry in-between 2nd breakfast and lunch you should smoke some pipe-weed to take your mind off the hunger. Merry or Pippin can supply you with this.

Lunch: For lunch cook yourself some Shire Soup. You can put any type of vegetable in it - as long as they come from the Shire. We suggest that you steal some crops from Farmer Maggots field.

Mid Afternoon snack: For a mid afternoon snack you should have some Lembas. The ingredients can be found in a number of places but it is best to get them from Lothlrien. Make the most out of this snack by asking Legolas to make it for you - it will taste all the more pleasurable!

Tea: By now Farmer Maggot is probably getting angry at you stealing crops from his field. It is therefore probably best if you eat wild mushrooms for tea. These are found growing in many places within the Shire. You can even find them on the roadside but watch out for Black Riders!

Supper: Try to avoid having any food at this time. Instead, drink plenty of Ale to help you sleep. This can be found in the Shire and also at Bree. For advise on what ale to drink, its best to speak to Barliman Butterbur. If he is not available, Merry, Pippin or Sam can also advise you well.
