| The Two Towers article in Total Film (June edition??) The Plot Times grow even darker for the beleaguered Fellowship. Tired, divied and in dangerous territory, their mission to destroy the evil Ring of Power just gets more arduous. With Frodo (Elijah Wood) and Sam (Sean Astin) still on course for Mount Doom, Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), Legolas (Orlando Bloom) and Gimli (John Rhys Davies) must search for the other Hobbits, captured by the evil Uruk Hai. Fortunately, there are friends to be found as well as foes, with new hope offered by the forces of man at Helms Deep. But with the land of Middle Earth in turmoil, big battles are on their way. The Shoot Pick up shots (extra footage) and re-shoots continue in New Zealand. The bulk of the filming's complete, of course, thanks to the Jackson's year-long-back-to-back shoot, but there are little bits and pieces to be finished. And the huge clash promised for the Two Towers will get a sonic boost courtesy of crowds watching test cricket matches, who were asked to supply the roars and cries or the armies at Helms Deep. The Buzz Yes, Jackson's got a hell of a lot to live up to following the Fellowships success. But we reckon that despite the return of Star Wars, audiences will still have a special place in their hearts (and pockets) come December. Typed by Amber |
