2890 September 22 Bilbo Baggins born in the Shire.
2941   Bilbo meets Thorin and begins his adventure - the trolls, Rivendell, Gollum and the One Ring, Eagles, Beorn, Mirkwood,Wood Elves, Lake Town, the Lonely Mountain an the Battle of Five Armies.
2942   Bilbo returns to the Shire.
2969 September 22 Frodo Baggins born in the Shire.
2980   Samwise (Sam) Gamgee and Fredegar (Fatty) Bolger both were born this year.
2981   Frodo orphaned when his parents are killed in a boating accident on the Brandywine River.
2982   Meriodoc (Merry) Brandybuck born.
2989   Bilbo adopts Frodo as his heir.
2990   Peregrin (Pippin) Took born.
3001 September 22 Bilbos farewell party and his subsequent departure from the Shire.
3001 September 23 Frodo dispenses Bilbos gifts from Bag End. Gandalf Leaves Hobbiton.
3002   Bilbo becomes a guest of Elrond and settles in at Rivendell.
3004   Gandalf visits Frodo in the Shire and does so at intervals for the next four years.
3008   Gandalf pays his last visit to frodo in the autumn.
3009   Gollum enters Mordor at about this time and is captured.
3017   Gollum is released from Mordor, caught by Aragorn near the Dead Marshes, and brought into the custody of Thranduil. Gandlaf questions him.
3018 April 12 Gandalf reaches Hobbiton after a nine-year absence.
3018 April 13 Gandalf proves that Frodos ring is indeed the One Ring. Frodo decides to leave the Shire.
3018 June 20 Gollum escapes the custody of Thranduil.
3018 June 29 Gandalf meets Radagast along the Greenway not far from Bree.
3018 July 10 Gandalf is imprisoned in Orthanc.
3018 July 24 Boromir sets out from Minas Tirith.
3018 September 18 Gandalf escapes Orthanc in the early hours.
3018 September 19 Gandalf comes to Edoras but is refused entrance.
3018 September 20 Gandalf is admitted to Edoras.
3018 September 21 Gandalf meets Shadowfax.
3018 September 22 Gandalf overtakes Shadowfax.
3018 September 23 Merry and Fatty leave Bag End with the last cartload of Frodos belongings. A Black Rider visits the gaffer just as Frodo, sam and Pippin leave for Crickhollow.
3018 September 24 Frodo, Sam and Pippin take a short cut to Maggots Farm to avoid Black Riders. They have supper there, and Maggot drives them to the Buckleberry Ferry, where they meet up with Merry. They end the evening at Crickhollow where the conspirators are revealed.
3018 September 25 Frodo, Sam and Pippin (and Merry) arrive at Crickhollow. The conspirators are revealed. Frodo dreams of the sea.
3018 September 26 Frodo, Sam, Pippin and Merry enter the Old Forest in the morning, are trapped by Old Man Willow in th late afternoon, and rescued by Tom Bombadil. They end up at Bombadils home in the evening.
3018 September 27 Frodo allows Tom Bombadil to take the One Ring and then wears it when Tom gives it back.
3018 September 28 The four hobbits rest in the hollow circle on the downs at midday. They awake in the evening and are captured by the barrow-wight.
3018 September 29 Tom Bombadil rescues the four hobbits from the barrow. They continue on to Bree, reaching the Prancing Pony in the evening. Frodo wears the ring (for the second time) when he falls from the table. Later they meet Strider. Gandalf visits the Gaffer.
3018 September 30 Black Riders attack Crickhollow and the Prancing Pony in the early morning. The hobbits and Strider leave Bree in the late morning and enter the Chetwood. Gandalf comes to Crickhollow and reaches Bree at night.
3018 October 2 The hobbits and Strider leave Chetwood and enter the Midgewater Marshes.
3018 October 4 The hobbits and Strider leave the Midgewater Marshes and camp somewhere between the marshes and the Weather Hills.
3018 October 5 Strider and the hobbits reach the Weather Hills.
3018 October 6 The hobbits and Strider reach Weathertop at mid-day and are attacked by five Black Riders at night. Frodo wears the Ring again and is injured by the Witch King.
3018 October 7 Strider finds Athelas to help with Frodos wounds. They proceed south, cutting across the Road.
3018 October 8 Strider leads the hobbits through the lands south of the East Road.
3018 October 9 Strider leads the hobbits through the lands south of the East Road.
3018 October 10 Strider leads the hobbits through the lands south of the East Road.
3018 October 11 Strider leads the hobbits through the lands south of the East Road. Glorfindel finds Black Riders at the Last Bridge and drives them away. He leaves a token on the bridge (a green stone).
3018 October 12 Stider and the Hobbit come to the Road at the end of the day.
3018 October 13 The hobbits and Strider travel eastwards along the Road and cross the Last Bridge. They find a green stone on the bridge. They turn northwards a mile after the bridge, leaving the Road.
3018 October 14 Stider and the hobbits continue through the Trollshaws.
3018 October 15 Stider and the hobbits continue through the Trollshaws. The weather turns wet.
3018 October 16 Strider and the hobbits, still in the Trollshaws, are forced to turn northwards. They camp on a stony, cold shelf. Frodos wound worsens.
3018 October 17 The weather becomes dryer, but the hobbits and Strider decide they are too far north. They turn south-eatwards. Frodos wounds continues to worsen.
3018 October 18 Strider and the hobbits find Bilbos trolls. Later, they return to the Road and find Glorfindel there. Frodo rides Glorfindels horse. They continue through the night.
3018 October 19 Srider, the hobbits, and Glorfindel march til dawn. They halt for 5 hours, but then march for nearly 20 miles.
3018 October 20 Black Riders overtake the hobbits and Strider as the approach the Ford of Bruinen. Frodo makes it across the ford, and the Black Riders are swept away by the waters of the Bruinen.
3018 October 24
3018 October 24 Frodo wakes in Rivendell. He attends a feast where he first sees Arwen , meets Gloin and finally finds Bilbo in the Hall of Fire. Boromir arrives at night.
3018 October 25 The Council of Elrond takes place in Rivendell.
3018 December 24 Bilbo gives Sting and his mithril coat to Frodo.
3018 December 25 The Company of the Ring sets out from Rivendell.
3019 January 8 The Company reaches Hollin, and flocks of birds swoop low over their camp later in the day.

3019 January 15 Gandalf falls from the Bridge of Khazad-dum. The Company flees into Lothlorien.
3019 January 17 The Company comes to Caras Galadon in the evening.
3019 January 23 Gandalf pursues the Balrog to the peak of Zirak-zigil.
3019 January 25 Gandalf casts the Balrog from the mountain, but passes away afterwards. His body lies on the peak.
