| Stage 1 of 7 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| the first stage is to undercoat your model with either chaos black or skull white. most people use chaos black spray then add watered down chaos black to fill in all the areas that the spray missed. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Stage two is to paint the flesh parts of the model, although there is no set way to paint models most people like to paint the flesh first. Give the flesh a basecoat mix of 3 parts scorched brown, 3 parts dark flesh, 3 parts scab red and 2 parts chaos black. (use 3 parts chaos back if you want it to look more dark and evil). Highlight this with the same mix but with more bleached bone added for each highlight. this was finaly given a wash of watered down mix of Brown ink and chestnut ink. |

| Stage 3 of 7 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The next stage is to paint a basecoat on the main armour sections (the chest armour etc) with Tin bitz, leaving some areas where the chaos black undercoat would still show through. Theses areas were then drybrushed with boltgun metal leaving the basecoat and undercoat showing in some areas. This was then highlighted in some small areas with chainmail. |

| Stage 5 of 7 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The leather parts of the model were then painted with a mix of scorched brown and chaos black, this was highlighted with scorched brown on its own. This was then given a wash of equil parts mix of brown ink and black ink. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Stage 6 of 7 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Gloves, sandals, straps and quiver were painted using an equil parts mix of chaos black and scorched brown, with bleached bone added for each highlight. The bow was painted with a basecoat of codex gray and chaos black, the tips were painted with codex gray blending it in with the basecoat further down the curve of the bow. The arrows were painted with bleached bone then given a watered down wash of flesh wash and black ink. The feather fletchings were given a second coat of bleached bone. The hair was then painted with codex gray and chaos black, with codex gray as highlights afterwards. |

| The final stage on this model is to paint on the mark of Saruman (the white hand) on the face of the uruk-hai, this was painted just by using a very thin brush (we would use at most a 0, the smallest brush we would use would be a 0000) to brush six small white lines onto the face with skull white, then just join each of the lines together with one circulart type shape so that the final shape looks like a hand print. Now the model is ready for action after the basing stage. click here to go to the basing page |
