Woohoo! I'm really turbocharged today! Okay, some people may think I don't have a life - well, probably true as who else would be working on the weekend.

But who cares when I'm having fun. Anyway, managed to finish 7 of the 12 tutorial sets for one of my classes. That means some of my time to prepare for the tutorials during the next seven to eight weeks would be freed. And that in turns mean, I've got more time to do my research plus other stuff.

And I also tested my portfolio optimization model against some other methods of buying mutual funds by the everyday investors. And well, so far, my model works quite well, returning a profit over the other methods in the long run for the most part. I'm updating my webpage to include a discussion on this. Edna and I can finally start to write a paper on this. We are trying to see whether we can code it up so that it can be run in excel and then ordinary people can also make use of the model.

Well, tomorrow, after my weekly swimming and coaching my brother, I am going to meet an illustrator at my best friend's place. Earlier this decade, we actually planned to write a series of children's books. We managed to get about 3 manuscripts done but couldn't find any good illustrator. Hopefully with this illustrator, we might finally be able to jump start the project again.
