Okay, pardon me for being tardy.  I just updated some of my photos from my conference trip - still up will be my trip to Germany.  I've included the photos taken in Ghent where I stayed for almost 5 days and the day visit to Bruges, a town further up North.  As I mentioned, I was staying at a Bed and Breakfast, run by this lovely couple, Chantal and Joel.  They have two adorable kids and a gentle (though huge) dog.  From them, I learn a little about the history of Ghent and Belgium as a whole.  Chantal especially pampered me and they even hosted Xiu Qing and her husband once while we were there.  While their place is not within the town centre, the walk from their place to town (where I had my conference) was scenic and lovely as I had  to cross the bridge spanning one of the canals running through Ghent.  I definitely recommend their place to stay if anyone is going there:  http://www.absolutehome.be/
