It's been a quite some time since my last post.  Well, after a month since I return from the Belgium-Germany trip, I still have not finished uploading the photos and writing on my experiences.  Part of that is because of my workload, but mostly it's been the decisions I have had to make on my career...

Last Wednesday, I decided to accept a position with Singapore Poly after several weeks of discussions and planning etc.  This means I've got to wrap up my research before I leave NTU, which means even more pressure to get things finished.  Right now, I've three pending papers (still with my boss) and am writing one more while running my experiments for yet another paper.  Furthermore, the current methodology still needs a bit more work. 

Plus, I am trying to write an article on refugee children for Children's Day...done some research but have yet to start the framework and decide the focus.  Seems that a problem amongst refugee or internally displaced children is education; both in terms of facilities and resouces as well as in terms of opportunities.  And the figures of such children are staggering; millions of children worldwide are affected!
