| The hotel manager offered to carry Mr. Winkle down to the restaurant and when they got there, Mr. Winkle spotted another celebrity, Eddie, from "Frasier." Eddie invited Mr. Winkle to join his Christmas party that evening and Mr. Winkle said he'd think about it, and in the meantime, to talk to the tail. Hehe, no he politely said he'd try to make it because he had a quiet evening in mind. |

| After lunch and a long nap in his room, Mr. Winkle dressed warmly, because it was an unusually cool evening, and went into the back gardens. He found a great big tree and sat between its roots, as if he was leaning back against a person. |

| All this time alone started to make him think about his pre-stardom days, scrounging for food and dodging trains by some abandoned railroad tracks. If it weren't for Lara, he wouldn't be looking so great, he mused. Whether it was the trauma he suffered or the growing cold of the night, he began to shiver. He got up promptly to look for the party. |

| Mr. Winkle found party signs and walked easily past the crowded entrance. He saw many faces he knew from the industry, and others in the acting business, like Eddie. Before long, he found himself sitting at the bar, where he would soon have one too many drinks. |
