| All the backrounds on Geocities suck . They either have nothing on them or are way to intrusive. Lol. They're probably gonna take down my site for saying that. Try it you corporation bastards! And why the heck can't I get the font to go smaller than 8? I should make an HTML page that will take a ridiculous amount of time, but at least I'll get to set my own freakin font! And I can show off my mad programing skillz. Wait. Kryzan and Umlauf never taught me anything. Never mind. Geocities it is. Your backrounds rule Geocities (::fingers crossed::), don't take my site down! (and what the heck kind of backround name is funky? Is this some archaic computer tool from the '70's before the web was even worldwide?) | ||||||||||||||

| Note: This is old now, and I don't feel like updating it. Well, this note is technically an update. | ||||||||||||||
| I tend to listen to alternative type music, although i'm not really biased against anything else. I'm just gonna list some of my favorite songs below, if you've never heard them give them a try. Maybe you'll like them as much as I do! | ||||||||||||||
| Staind - "Tonight" I can relate a lot to this song, it's basically just a song about life. It's got a mellow beat but it's got a lot of power. Moby - "Extreme Ways" Another song about life. It's about living a certain way and wanting to change. Again, I can relate. Chevelle - "Send the Pain Below" I tend to send my pain below to often. Quote Staind (off "me"): "Push me / I won't fall / I've been programed / To take it all / And shove it all inside" Evanescene - I love this band. My favorite songs are "Whisper" (about not giving up hope in life) and "One Last Breath" (about dying and looking back on life). You've probably heard their song "Bring Me To Life" which is a great song too. If you've never heard any of their stuff you should give it a try. Warning: if you hear "Bring Me To Life" and it's all techno / pop it's not the real version. It's some stupid remix by some stupid DJ who tried to make them go pop. Linkin Park - "Breaking the habit". What can I say other than I can relate? Foo Fighters - "Everlong". It's got a great beat and I like the sentiment, hoping good times can last forever. Finger Eleven - "Drag You Down". Finger Eleven is so messed up. Go to their website and look at the guy's artwork. It's very very very disturbing. But they are a cool band and their insanity brings something new to the scene. Metallica - What, you want me to describe Metallica? Like you don't already know? My favorite song of theirs is probably "Nothing Else Matters", about being yourself. Any band that writes a song about a Hemmingway Book (the book and the song are "For Whom The Bell Tolls") deserves huge respect. Finch - "What it is to burn". It's a huge metaphor, very cool song. Fear Factory - "Linchpin" "Can't Take Me Apart!" I know you've probably never heard of Fear Factory but they are a cool band. They've got some cool themes that go through their CD's: evolution, technology (it's corruption) and whether faith is possible in our digital age. Rage Against The Machine You know who they are. Legendary band . You have to love non conformity and fighting for social justice. At least I do. In that light, the Sum 41 song "Still Waiting" is cool too. Hobbastank - "Crawling in the Dark" They proably have the worst name of any band ever. But it's a really cool song, about the mysteries of life. Smashing Pumpkins - "Muzzle" Let's forget about the connotations of getting high (drugs suck). It's a really cool song... what if life's mysteries were revealed? "Tales of a scorched earth" is a great pumpkin's song too. "I lie just to be real and I'd die just to feel". If you can understand the words without needed lyrics to that one you have some serious alt. rock skillz. You know what sucks? Zwane sucks. Just like Audioslave sucks. They need to stop re-making good bands into bad ones. Stupid record company corporation capitialist bastards.... Disturbed - "Darkness" "Dare to believe / for one last time" It's an uncharacterestic song for the enraged group (it's a ballad), but it's also one of their most meaningful songs. Suicide Machines - "Bleeding Heart" Why'd I list this one so late? This is my favorite song! Suicide Machines rule! And they're indie and from Detroit! Goo Goo Dolls - "I'm still here" "They can't break me... as long as I know who I am" I have lots more songs I like. But I'm not sure that anyone really cares. No one made it this far down anyways. No one's reading this. I'll tell you what. If you're reading this check the box below. It really does nothing, but think of it as a reward for reading so damn much. |
