Well well well, what can I say about the "sermon" that was given only a few weeks ago in St. Vincent dePaul church in Marino. Many words come to mind, let us start by the GOOD points of the mass, 1. We got time off our busy school day (except those moochin' TY's who had nothing better to do), 2. It celebrated 200 years of the Chritian Brothers and 30 years of Ard Scoil Ris....Bollocks! It was a boring load of codswallop (in this writers personal opinion of course) We stood, sat and knelt for an hour in total, listening to stories and readings and the like. No talking was allowed of course, and this editor, would you believe, was told on TWO SEPERATE OCCASIONS to be quiet and to stop "messing" by a teacher that will remain nameless, mainly because she isn't important enough for me to remember her name, i mean, come on! The choir present made the gruelling ordeal a bit more bearable, with Sister Act 2 covers / rip offs such as the funky versions of "O happy day" etc, but it was not enough to save this plundering performance (for more on "plundering" visit the web pirate). So, all in all, the only real benefit for this editor was that he missed double tech, so i suppose they deserve some credit for that, but they're NOT gonna get it off me! I give this event a dismal 1 out of 10. The "one" going to the effort of transferring 500 students a distance of 100m.
THE END Get me the hell outta here!! |
