What she saw was a red lioness! "Who are you?!" Rei demanded. the red lioness walked close to Rei who slowly backed away. "Don't be scared," the lioness said with a smile. "You...you can talk?" "Why do you think its wierd that a lion is speaking to you? I mean, you did meet a talking cat named Luna, didn't you?" "You know Luna? Just who are you?" "I'm your pet guardian, Princess Mars. My Earth name is Reika." U Series Episode 2:"The Lion of the Moon, Leo...The Power of Ultra Sailormoon and Eternal Sailor Chibimoon!" "Your name is Reika?" Rei asked. "Yes, Princess." "Well, Reika, if you're friendly, you don't have to call me 'Princess.' Call me Rei." "Okay. Rei, your place in the Holy Lands has finally opened to you." "The Holy Lands?" "I thought you would have a dream about the Holy Lands by now." Rei then remembers the dream she had about a golden-winged lady with a feline-like animal close to her watching over a sacred land. "I see, those must be the Holy Lands. And are you the animal of the dream?" Rei asked. "Well, one of them." "There's more than one of you?" "Rei! Where are you?" someone yelled. Rei recognizes the voice as her Grandpa. "Oh no! It's Grandpa! You must hide yourself or he'll panic when he sees you!" Rei orders. "You're so pushy. Don't worry. I got it covered." Rei only looked in confusion. Then, Grandpa entered the room only to have a bowl of warm milk. "Is your cute lion thristy? I got her some milk," he said. Reika purred happily and Grandpa put the bowl down for Reika to drink. "Now, Rei, I trust that you'll take good care for your pet. I can't be taking care of your pets around here! Learn some responsibility!" After Grandpa leaves the room, Rei only looked with beady eyes with a sweatdrop effect. She looked at Reika who was drinking away. "What just happened?" Rei asked, clearly confused. "Now that I'm here, it's like I was always here now," Reika answered. Rei was still clearly confused, but deep inside, she smiled and felt very secure that she is here. "Although she just came from out of nowhere, it's like I've been waiting for her to come to me," Rei said to himself. Back at Africa the next day, Usagi was laying in her bed in a tent. She was thinking deeply about yesterday. As she remembered the events about that day, she thought to herself, "That creature said she was after pure love affections. And when we tried to stop her, we were defeated. And she destroyed my Eternal Sailor Moon powers." She looked at her brooch, still very ruinated. "At least, the Silver Crystal's intact now. That new power that lion gave me regenerated it. But, my Eternal powers are gone. What do I do now?" she asks herself. Then, Usagi's brother, Shingo, appears in her tent. "Hey, Usagi, we're going to go out to the safari again. Mom and Dad is wondering if you want to come," he said. "No thank you," she said. "Fine." Then, Shingo leaves the tent. Usagi felt like to go to sleep and tried to. Shingo tells of Usagi to their Mom and Dad. "I wonder what's wrong with her now," Ikuko said. "Chibi-Usa, did something happen while you two and your friends went out to explore yesterday?" Chibi-Usa seems to be thinking hard as well, then breaks from it. "No, nothing happened, Mama-Ikuko," she answered. "Well, maybe you should stay with Usagi," Ikuko suggested. "Okay." Then, Chibi-Usa left the group and peeked inside the tent. "Usagi?" Chibi-Usa then notices something. She then spots a lion trying to climb up the top of the bunkbeds to get to Usagi! "USAGI! LOOK OUT!" Chibi-Usa screamed. Usagi got up quickly, looked back and forth. She looked down to see the lion and jumped with a scream. Usagi then falls out the bed and lands face first on the ground comedically. The lion then went to her in a panic. "Princess! I'm sorry I startled you! Are you alright?!" the lion spoke out. Then, Chibi-Usa recognizes the lion as the one they saw the other day. "Hey, it's you again," Chibi-Usa said. Usagi then got back up and examined her nose with crocodile tears in her eyes. The lion looked very worried toward Usagi. "I'm sorry, Princess," he said again. "'Princess?' Why do you keep addressing me like that?" Usagi asked. "I'm your pet guardian, Princess. As well as your future daughter, too." "Huh? You know us?" Chibi-Usa asked. "Yes, Small Lady. I know both of you." "But, how?" Usagi asked. "I would tell you anything, especially you, Princess. But, you two shouldn't know quite yet. Not now." "Why can't you? What can you tell us?" "All I can tell you is my Earth name. I am Leo." "Leo?" the girls said. Leo nodded and started to turn away. "Wait, where are you going?" Usagi asked. "I can't stay here long. I only came to see if you were alright from your fight yesterday." Then, Leo ran out the tent. Chibi-Usa tried to stop him, but was too late. "Why is he shying away from us?" Chibi-Usa asked herself. Usagi got up from her knees and walked to her. "Maybe we should follow him," Usagi suggested. "But, what if Mom and Dad finds us gone?" Chibi-Usa asked. "Then, I'll just say that you ran away to pet a lion by yourself and laugh when you get in trouble." "Funny," Chibi-Usa remarked with a sweatdrop effect. At that, Usagi and Chibi-Usa went to follow the mysterious lion. At Minako's house, Minako slept peacefully in her bed. Artemis was sleeping near what seemed to be a yellowish, furry pillow. Artemis nuzzled close to it and purred softly. Then, something purred back. Artemis' eyes opened widely and he stood looking around. "What was that?" he said to himself. He looked behind himself and his face turned blue as he sees the pillow. The "pillow" was actually a yellowish, furry lioness! Artemis screamed with panic and found himself hiding in Minako's blanket. Minako received a rude awakening and started screaming at Artemis. "Artemis! What are you doing in my blankets, you pervert?!" She then swung her legs around and kicks Artemis out the bed and into the sleeping lioness. The lioness woke up and looked about the room, finally getting Minako's attention. "God, I thought this was a peaceful residence for my Princess. Unacceptable," she said. Minako's eyes widened and started to panic. "Wha...wha...what are you doing...?" she tried to say. "Hi, my Princess Venus. You finally woke up," the lioness said with a smile. "'Princess Venus?' How did you know who I am?" Artemis looked at the lioness closely and started to recognize her. "It's you!" he said. "About time you notice me, Artemis." "What's going on? You know her, Artemis?" Minako asked. "Allow me to introduce myself," the lioness stated. "You may call me by my Earth name, Aiko." "Aiko?" Minako repeated with confusion. At Makoto's house, Makoto was about to exit her front door. Then, she remembered something. "Oh yeah, I forgot my kimono skirt I borrowed from Rei." She turns around to see a lion with a dark greenish mane standing on his back legs holding the kimono skirt for her. "You're forgetting this?" the lion asked politely. Makoto smiled and took the skirt from him. "Thank you," she said. She then exits the door. Before she can get one foot away from the door, Makoto realizes what she just saw and stopped with big, twitching eyes. She goes back in the house in panic and stares at the lion who was still in the same place. "Hi again, Princess Jupiter. I'm Kiyochi, your pet guardian." Makoto only blinked in disbelief at the friendly lion. ************************************************************************************************ Back at Africa, Usagi and Chibi-Usa goes deep in the forest to find the lion named Leo. "Oh, where can he be? His footprints lead up to here," Usagi said. "We'll find him soon," Chibi-Usa encouraged. "Hey, I see something ahead of us!" Usagi declared. They enter a clearing of the forest to see a watering hole. There, they see a lion drinking from it. In fact, it was Leo! "Leo! We found you!" Chibi-Usa cried happily. Leo looked to see the girls and sighed deeply. "Why did you follow me?" he said. "You seem sad. Why did you leave us?" Chibi-Usa said. Leo looked away, seemingly not interested to answer. Chibi-Usa looked at him with sympathy. Then, Usagi walked to Leo bravely and petted him softly. "Don't worry. Don't be scared," she said. Leo looked toward Usagi with passionate eyes, but looked away immediately. "Leo, we're friendly. We won't hurt you, especially since you saved us yesterday. We never got the chance to thank you," Usagi said. Usagi then hugged Leo with feeling. Then, Chibi-Usa came over to them and hugged Leo too. "Don't run away from us. We're in your debt," Chibi-Usa said. Leo then smiled and purred softly. "Okay, okay. You can stop hugging now," he said. The girls then let him go. "Hey, where is your mate, Leo? She sure was beautiful," Usagi said. Leo yelped at that remark and jumped back. "No way Reika's my mate! She is a pain in my side, really!" Leo roared. Usagi and Chibi-Usa was in surprise. "Reika? Is that her name?" Usagi asked. "Yes. She must have found her Princess Mars by now." "Rei?" "Wait, so Rei has a 'pet guardian,' too?" Chibi-Usa asked. "Yes. All the princesses of the Silver Millenium had a pet guardian that care for her and made sure their duties were done." "Really?" Then, laughter was heard around them. Leo looked around and sees a light in the bushes. "Princess, look out!" Leo jumps in front of Usagi and gets hit by the star and gets wrapped in a tight rope. "Leo!" the girls yelled. Then, a figure came out of the bushes still laughing. "It's her again!" Chibi-Usa exclaims. It was Pumira! Pumira laughed evilly. "I told you I'll be back," she said. Leo growled, but was not able to get up. "Pumira! You witch!" Leo roared. "Huh! Reduced to name calling? Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Ha, this time, you won't interfere with my plans. But, first, your princesses must die." "No, you won't!" "You won't hurt Leo!" Chibi-Usa yelled. "Moon Crisis, Make Up!" Chibi-Usa transforms into Super Sailor Chibimoon. Usagi looks to her brooch and prayingly, she says, "Please, let me transform to Eternal Sailormoon. At least, one last time. Moon Eternal, Make Up!!" With this scream of hope, she transforms into Eternal Sailormoon. Chibimoon takes out her Crystal Carillon and fires at Pumira. "Pink Sugar Heart Attack!" Pumira stood uneffected and slaps Chibimoon into the watering hole. Leo tried to get free but was no use. "Small Lady!" he roared. Then, she heard Eternal Sailormoon scream. He looked to see her crouching in pain. The brooch started to glow uncontrollably and she trembled terribly. "The power is too weak to control," Usagi thought. "I can't keep up the power much longer." Pumira smiled and looked towards Chibimoon. She shoots a energy rope at her and wrapped her too. Now, she walks to Leo and prepares to shoot him. "Now, for your demise," she said villianously. She fires a beam at Leo with no mercy. "NO!!" Chibimoon screamed. Leo started to lose all hope. But, suddenly, Eternal Sailor Moon jumped in the way of the blast with her Eternal Power Tier. "Silvermoon Crystal Power Kiss!!" she yells. At that, she shoots her attack one last time and cancels out Pumira's attack. Then, Eternal Sailor Moon evolves into Usagi again and collapses in front of Leo. Leo looks in disbelief at Usagi's action. "You...you would give up your own power to save me?" he asked. "Yes. I really respect you, Leo. I'm not just your princess, but your friend as well," Usagi answers. "I would have done the same thing for you," Chibimoon added. Leo was speechless. His princesses would care for him as much as he would for them, he thought. Pumira only scoffed and started to attack again. "Bye, Princess," she taunted. "No," Leo murmured. Pumira shoots at Usagi. Then, suddenly, at the last moment, Leo roared his loudest roar. "NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!" Then, his crescent moon on his forehead shone again and saves Usagi from the blast. Chibimoon looked in awe at the light. "What?!" Pumira gasped. Then, Usagi's brooch evolves into the new one from before, but this time, it was permanent. Then, Chibimoon's brooch also evolved into a new one and breaks free from her ropes. Leo also broke free and stood back up with Usagi. Chibimoon runs to them both. "Usagi, what's this?" she asked. "This are your new brooches," Leo explained. "These will give you both new power." "New power?" Usagi repeated. "Small Lady, say 'Moon Eternal, Make Up!' to transform to Eternal Sailor Chibimoon." "Right," Chibimoon obeys. "Moon Eternal, Make Up!" Super Sailor Chibimoon then transforms into Eternal Sailor Chibimoon, who looks exactly the same as Eternal Sailor Moon, but only smaller and the color is more pinkish. "Now, Princess, you say 'Moon Ultra, Make Up!' to transform into Ultra Sailor Moon. But, don't be careless with this power. It's overwhelming." "Right. Moon Ultra, Make Up!!" Usagi yells. Usagi turns into the soldier she evolved to before yesterday, now known as Ultra Sailor Moon! Pumira twitches arrogantly at the Moon Girls. "I won't forgive you for trying to kill our newest friend!" Ultra Sailor Moon declares. "For love and justice!" "Pretty soldiers in sailor suits!" Eternal Chibimoon states. "Ultra Sailor Moon!" "And Eternal Sailor Chibimoon!" "In the name of the moon..." "We shall punish you!" both of the girls say. Pumira growls. "I'm not impressed. You still will face my wrath!" Pumira charges at the girls. Suddenly, a new weapon appeared before Eternal Chibimoon. It was a sword handle with a neon pink glowing rope on it. "This is the Pink Moon Whip. Use it!" Leo roars. Eternal Chibimoon grabs the whip and dodges Pumira who was charging at her. Then, she whips Pumira on her side with a hard snap, which made Pumira growl in pain. "Time to tame this bad kitty!" Eternal Chibimoon says. "Starlight Honeymoon Therapy Sword!" Her whip rope stands on end forming a sword and she swings it to release a heart-shaped energy ball at Pumira. The attack hits and shocks Pumira with pink energy. As Pumira screams, a weapon appeared before Ultra Sailor Moon which resembles the one she used before. "That's the Serenity Staff! Use it to banish that witch!" Leo roars. Ultra Sailor Moon nods and readies her new attack. "Serenity Moon Banishment Kiss!" She fires the attack at Pumira and vaporizes her. She screams as she disappears in the blast. The battle was over... Ultra Sailor Moon sighed and looked towards Eternal Sailor Chibimoon with pride. Leo walks to the girls with a happy statement. "Good job, girls. You done well," he said. "Thank you, Leo," Ultra Sailor Moon said. "And thank you for saving my life." "Usagi!!" The trio looks about to see Ami, Hotaru, and Setsuna running to them. "Everyone!" Eternal Chibimoon says. "What happened?" Ami asked. "Pumira attacked us again, but we beat her with our new powers Leo gave us." Setsuna notices Leo. "So, that's his name?" she asked. "Yes, and he knows very well. He may be part of the Silver Millenium," Ultra Sailor Moon said. "Are there more like you?" Setsuna asks. "Yes. By now, the princesses, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus has befriended their pet guardians back at Tokyo." "Wait. What about Ami?" Eternal Chibimoon says. "That was why Mars' pet guardian, Reika, was here for. Mercury's pet guardian is very ill. Pumira attacked us earlier and poisoned him. I hoped that Reika could heal her, but he's still in bad condition." "Terrible. Can we see him?" Ami asked. "Well, I'm sure he'll be glad to see his princess. Come with me." At that, the girls followed Leo further in the forest. Out in the sky over the sea, a floating dark castle was visable. Then, a yellow sphere flew into the castle. It stop in where it looked like the throne room and evolved to reveal Pumira, still mortally injured. She weakly bows to a throne with a silhouette of an emperor. "So, I take it that you failed to destroy your enemies," a male voice said. "I'm sorry, Emperor. That lion, Leo, was in the way again," she said. "Well, you're too wounded to take another mission. Go rest. I'll send someone else." "Yes, Emperor." Pumira then disappeared. "Wolfbane! Come forth!" the emperor ordered. Then, a antromorphically grey wolf with a kind of tuxedo appeared. "Yes, Emperor?" he asked. "You're to succeed where Pumira failed. Go look for another Pure Love Sphere now." "Right!" Then, he disappears in a flash of blue light. The emperor then chuckles evilly. "Soon, o great sacred woman. Soon...," he said before an evil chuckle that echoed around the throne room... to be continued...
