LOST
KENNYWOOD, PA --
The 2002 season has arrived and
of course there are many questions to be answered. This
preview will hopefully answer them as we give you the who,
what, where, when, and why to start the new year.
Who are the new
additions to the 2002 crew? As the season opens Lost
Kennywood has ten new faces added to the mix. Here is a
rundown of just who they are:
- Jon Matthews - A
veteran of three seasons at The Exterminator
including one as assistant manager. Matthews not
only bring his experience but his food eating
ability to the Lost Kennywood Crew. Don't say the
word WING around him or else you may be in trouble.
- Jonelle Warren - Another
veteran of many Kennywood seasons. Warren has spent
time on the Merry Go Round and Exterminator crews.
She will be the new manager in Lost Kennywood in
2002.

sister of Jonelle, Katie has spent a number of years
on the Merry Go Round crew and is now moving to Lost
Kennywood with her sister.

What is new for 2002?
New at the Wipeout in 2002 is a presence pad. The presence
pad takes the place of the orange pedal that has been used
for a number of year. Standing on this pad serves the same
purpose of having your foot on the pedal. Also new is at
the Pittfall, team members will be required to stand
behind their respective gates while the ride is in the
air. This will prevent objects that guests drop landing on
our heads.
Where are things
located? Cleaning supplies will be kept at The Pittfall
and under the games building. Odersorb will be given out
by the games workers, they have a supply in the back room.
The sign out sheet and schedule will be located at The
Pittfall.
When do we open
full time? May 13th is the first Monday of the season we
are opened. From then into Labor Day, Kennywood is opened
daily. This season however Kennywood will be opened
weekends after Labor Day for a fantastic Halloween
celebration.
Why do we all work
in Lost Kennywood? Well besides the paycheck. We all work
in Lost Kennyood because it is the best crew in the park
year in and year out.
