The bard surrounds herself with whispers that injure any creature that comes into contect with her. Any creature striking within a range of 5 feet suffers 1D6 points of sonic damage plus one per 2 levels of the bard. The bard cannot use the spell to deal damage to another creature (for instance, with an unarmed attack or by forcing the whispers against a target). Only if another creature attacks the caster with it's own will does this spell deal damage.

Deaf creatures are unaffected.
