This spell creates a powerful whirlwind of raging wind that moves through the air, along the ground, or over water at a speed of 60 feet per round. The cyclone moves in a random, uncontrolled fashion for the duration of the spell - possibly endangering the character or the character's allies--and then dissipates. Any large creature falling in the area of effect of the whirlwind must succeed at a saving throw or take 2d8 points of slashing, crushing, and piercing damage. Medium-sized or smaller creatures are thrown back 30 feet, and take 3D8 points of slashing, crushing, and piercing damage. Tiny creatures less than 4HD such as spiders and low-level dwarves are automatically killed with no saving-throw. Collosal-sized creatures such as dragons only take 1D8 points of slashing, piercing, and crushing damage.
A successful saving throw halves all of the damage inflicted and the creature is not thrown back.
