Upon choosing the Divine Voice ability, priests can speak with divine authority. The charisma of the priest is permanently increased by 2 points, and the priest may use a Shout spell up to thrice a day, a Great Shout spell up to twice a day, and a Divine Shout once a day.

Upon invoking a Divine Shout, the priest must speak loudly and clearly for a full round. Every creature within 180 feet can hear the priest speaking unless it has been magically deafened. The divine voice penetrates silence spells and all types of solid obstacles. Antimagic shells and 10th-level ward spells shield their occupants from a Divine Shout.

Creatures that hear the voice are automatically dazed if they have less than 8 Hit Dice or levels. Other creatures can save against spells to avoid the effect. Creatures do not have to understand the priest’s words, they merely have to hear them. Undead and creatures normally immune to charm spells, such as golems and creatures with Wisdom scores of 19 or more, are not affected.

This ability may only be chosen once.
