Instant
Army (Conjuration/Summoning)
Level: Tempus 8
Range: visual range of the caster
Duration: 1D2 days
Casting Time: 1 round
Area of Effect: 1 stone soldier per 2 levels
Saving Throw: none
A
development of ancient Mulhorandi war magic, this
spell was intended for those critical points of
a battle where a fresh reserve of troops can turn
a stalemate or defeat into a glorious victory. Soldiers
arise from the ground (be it stone, earth or sand)
and enter combat with the nearest enemy units. Fatigue
and heat have no effect on these warriors - and
creating them in the middle of an opposing group
can have a powerful impact on enemy morale.
By
means of this spell, the caster is able to create
an instant army, which rises from the ground in
the form of earth, stone or sand soldiers. The caster
summons one soldier for every two levels of experience
she possesses (round all fractions down) up to 10
soldiers at level 20. The units appear at the point
designated by the caster, and obey every single
command the caster issues. When the spell duration
expires, the surviving units vanish. The soldiers
usually tend to between levels 5 - 7 (hit points
and proficiencies are determined by the hit dice),
usually as fighters, but there is a chance that
some of the units will be rogues, mages, or clerics.
