Ghust
of Wind (Invocation/Evocation)
Level: Bard 3, Mage 3, Sorcerer 3
Range: visual range of caster
Duration: instantaneous
Casting Time: 3
Area of Effect: 70-foot long, 30-foot wide cone
Saving Throw: neg.
This spell creates a strong blast of air that originates from the character and moves in the direction the character is facing. The force of this gust automatically extinguishes normal and magical flames such as a Flameblade, or a Melf's Minute Metor. All creatures are blown 5 yards per level away from the caster, suffer 1D4 points of damage, and fall unconscious for 4 rounds. Fire elementals are particularly vulnerable to this spell, and must suceed at a saving throw versus spells or are totally and irreversibly blown out. A successful saving throw against spells negates the unconsciousness effect, the creature is blown back only half the distance, and the affected target suffers only half damage. Large-sized creatures such as dragons are immune to this spell, as well as air elementals.
