This spell, highly valued by both adventuring priests and their sedentary brethren, allows the caster to channel a small quantity of energy from the Positive Material Plane for the purpose of boosting the lifeforce of the receipient. This augmented lifeforce then flows through the body, closing cuts, stopping bleeding and allowing for the speedy healing of other minor injuries.
When
laying the character's hand upon a living creature,
the character channels positive energy that cures
1d8 points of damage +1 point per caster level (up
to +5). Non-living creatures such as undead, constructs,
or even elementals are completely unaffected by
this spell. Only creatures from the upper planes
and the prime material plane are affected.
