His Uncle Bilbo left him the ring along with the evil that accompanies it. Frodo is able to show resistant to the temptaion of the one ring of power. He has vounteered to take it to Mount Doom and destroy it forever for the good of middle earth. There could not be a more deadly task. In 3018 Frodo travlled to rivendell under the name of Mr. Underhill accompanied by Aragorn to escape the ringwraths. When he volunteered to bring the ring to Mount Doom he was accompanied by eight other members. Despite having the future king of Gondor, an elven prince, a fearless dwarf, and a wizzard his most important partner was Samwise Gamgee, who followed Frodo unil the end. When he reached Mount Doom he threw the ring into the crakcs and was attacked by Gollum who bit off his finger. Much time passed after the war of the ring before he sailed over the seas to the Grey Havens with Gandalf and Bilbo. |
