Lost and Despondent Comics is a series of weekly one-shot strips. That is, there's no on-going story, so when there's a bunch of them up here you can read randomly at your whim. The strip's title is a refrence to the orginal Zork Triolgy. The maps you could buy from Infocom read "Lost and Despondent Adventuer's Guide to the Great Underground Empire" or some such buisness.
LDC is drawn in good old #2 pencil and then inked with super-fine black Sharpies. The text is printed out and then cut and pasted with scissors and glued onto the orginal strip. This low-tech approach either adds to the scruffy, utilitarian, slightly sordid quality I'm looking for or results in a crappy unprofessional look, depending on your point of view.
