Lost and Confused Thoughts (Selected Ramblings)

I get in the car and I see so many people rushing different places.
I wonder how many of them actually want to be where they are going. And even if they don't, for how many is it better than wherever they just were? I bet most would rather be somewhere else entirely. How many would really mind if they never got anywhere? Could I just drive forever? Maybe if my car could. |

Walking up the flight of stairs in the office building
It's a little before 8am Same shit for three months Same routine bullshit My patience is dying I stared at the screen of the computer and thought only one thing: Time flies so fast, I'm sitting here wasting time This is not helping anyone This is not making a difference in someone's emotions Typing all these numbers is a bunch of bullshit I'm 22 years old as I write this Staring at the computer screen Spacing out and scared of dying At least I can listen to Howard Stern in the morning Half my day is happy The other half is spent aching for 4:30 I don't want to go out like this Sitting in a cubicle for the rest of my life to pay rent and to buy food Forget it, it's not fucking worth it College is not for me Well I better get back to work or I'll get fired And we can't have that, can we |

Rambled by Rosie (The Coffee House of the Past) new! |
|
When all is peaceful, but not entirely, you sit and think about days past. You sit and wonder - always wonder - why? WHy the days went so fast. Some crept by you, while others were endless, and you want to go back home. Not to the 'home' in which you sleep, but the 'home' where life was great. The home where you talked and ate - laughed and cried - the 'home' where you hated saying goodbye. The red coffee house hid by a hill, with grass everywhere and everything peaceful and still. Peaceful until - the band struck its first chord - then laughter filled the air. The 'home' where friends met, where you drove so far, to get to that home no where near where you are now. And even though it may be less than an hours drive, it's so far from your heart - and your heart strives -
It strives to be there, to hear the bands first chord. To hear the talking and laughter that are no more. And it was your "Last Chance" to say goodbye. And your heart will always wonder: why? |

Rambled by Discord (Illusions) |
|
Everything is an illusion. No matter how real it may seem, it can so easily decieve you. Anything can. Relationships, friendships, thoughts, words. They are all illusions. It's unbelievable how much someone will believe something just because it sounds good to them. For example, if I were to tell you that I could read the future and that you are going to win the lottery and find the person of your dreams, you would probably believe me. Just because it sounds so perfect. It would make you so happy. But then you find out that I'm just bullshitting you and that I couldnt read the future if my life depended on it and all of your hopes are crushed. Of course this all depends on a person's perception. If you know that I have no way of knowing who's going to win the lottery and who you are going to fall in love with, you would know not to believe me. You would know that I am just trying to make you believe that you are going to become a very happy person, only to let you down and make you hurt. But if you're conception is more along the lines of a person that is desperate to be happy, you would believe me. You would try to convince yourself that I am right and that you are going to be rich and happy. This is such a common thing, it's sad. Some people will just believe anything. Illusions fuck you over. Don't give in to them. |

Rambled by Phil (What Happened to Unity) |
|
It often seems that the fabrics that I thought held people together are either nonexistent or too easily torn. People seem to do whatever they are told or whatever they feel like(with really thinking what they feel like who they should listen to).
With our suppossed individualistic attitude and pride for personal liberty, we seem to not always think for ourselves or understand what liberty is in America. I once saw people eat what they thought was human flesh, just because they were offered money and pressured into it! I wonder how a "civilized" person could commit such an act. I was under the impression the cannibalism was one of our most deeply rooted taboos. That same goes with murder. How can so many people kill another human being?! It is held as the most serious offense, yet it continues often for reason and motives that people cannot even comprehend or believe. Like shot some one over a parking spot. What is wrong with a people that abandon everything that allows us to live in peace and harmony?? I wonder how a community can continue without cooperation...What we will do when we finally realize the society we all lived so comfortably in has fallen apart...I know from experience and study that it takes the worlds worst to bring out Humaity's best. I only hope we can make it through the worst to see our best- |

Rambled by an Anonymous Friend (Altruism is the key to YOUR survival) |
|
No man is an island None of us can make it on our own. And none of us has made it this far without more than a little help. I think its time to return the favor. The next chance you get you should do something kindhearted for another. Not because you owe them but because you owe some one else. All to often we are in such a rush running around in circle we dont see who we knock over or walk on. Take the time to see who needs help and how you can help them. Dont forget the people who pull you out of the mud and do the same. I know its a lot to ask some and maybe presumptous, but I dont there is a valid arguement against compassion. Next time you talk to someone say at least one nice thing. Next time you pass someone say hello. Next time someone is struggling give them a hand. Do it so the next time someone says "what goes around, comes around". You can tell them you cant wait! |

Rambled by Dirty Jesus (The Viscous Cycle) |
|
Yes that word is viscous not vicous.
anyway continuing on. this is a one of my political writings and molly asked me to put something up... so here goes. VISCOUS CYCLE Have you ever seen your fellow human beings labotomized? Don't say no, because I know you have. You yourself have been labotomized. Watching television entire families stare blankly only ale to comprehend the thoughts the flickering screen portrays. The children soon become what television portrays them to be. The parents then become satisfied with their children and they too conform to the media role they are given. With these perfect families at home watching prime time TV the rulers sleep well knowing the people are labotomized and docile. Those of us who stand out against the status quo are subjected to ridicule. In refusing this rape of the mind we go against all odds. They will be against us as long as we sit by and allow others to be mind raped. In concern for our own resistant minds we must have concern for those who have been labotomized. No one concerns themselves with helping others get away from the enforced thoughts of the flickering screen. Only look out for "#1" has become a "punk rock" ideal. In only being concerned with ourselves we destroy everything we stand for. The state is aware of this and we are censored by them as our message becomes more clear to the masses. We are denied airwaves because our message is a threat to "decent society." #### THEM! I hope we do threaten the moral boundaries that the idiot box traps the masses in. We are called naive in our attempts to teach the world of true freedom. They hope to discredit us using labels a definitions. The brotherhood of humanity Died with the rise of power. Now the masses all seek to achieve more power than equality. Why must we wish to control others? Wouldn't true brotherhood of humanity create a better world for eveyone? Power creates a better world those few who posses it. Once you have power you could afford a larger television set couldn't you? The cycle of greed is wicked. Those who have power can afford more devices to beam the media into their homes and heads. The state deliberately makes his so. The more power you have the more you must be controlled by the system. It is a not a vicous cycle, No it is far worse...it is a viscous cycle. ok well thanx for readin. sorry for any misspellings...i wrote on short notice |

Rambled by Marisol (If I might be honest.....) |
|
I detest all most everyone. Let me be frank, I think all most everyone is a selfish asshole pig, probably you too. Allow me to explain:
When you go to bed at night are you thankful, I mean really thankful, that you have a warm cozy bed to crawl into? Do you ever take a shower and just think about how nice it is to have clean warm running water? Do you ever think about the people who don't have these things, in the midst of you enjoying them? Do you see homeless people? I mean see them. Look at them and wonder how they are, what they like, where they came from. People walk by the homeless, and often don't even register that they have just passed a person who has no way to buy food or take a shower. We've become desensitized to the needy as a society on the whole. We condemn and blame these people for the situations in which they have found themselves. We can no more blame them, than blame ourselves. How many of us know alcoholics, drug addicts, people who make poor decisions, that have just been lucky in keeping a level of financial stability? To blame them helps no one, and we are not so great that we might not find ourselves in the same situation. I know people who take time to feed ducks or fish in parks, but never stop to think about giving bread to the homeless man they just saw. What the hell kind of species takes care of another species before their own kind. And so I hate most people, becuase they just spent $20 bucks on doggy kebble or kitty chow, but $0 on the poor guy who hasn't eaten anything decent in days or weeks. |

Rambled by Dave (What a shame, such a pity) |

Nihilism. truly one of the worlds most effortless lifestyles. sit around on your ass, think of only the great nothing waiting to consume everything inevitably. That might be the truth, however to make it your life is to (quite literally) become a waste of flesh. To set down the torch of individual beliefs, to set down the flame of a uniting force is to invite so many tasteless attributes, that humanity has generated in our few millenia of existance, into your self. Give up, if it makes you feel better about things/yourself, go for it. but why? why do that? why not hold the prospect of hope in your mind, or in your heart? the thought that because you are sharing your existance with a cause, that it might one day blossom into something more, something that might be better for us all. why not believe in that? I'll tell you why because as teenagers, as adolescents, we are type cast to do it. Our elders say we will get tired of it and thus join them in the ranks of banality, the grey faced, dressed down paper slaves. Nihilism is that door, that stair-way, that gate way it is the stepping stool towards adulthood. all we seek not to be.(or at least what I seek not to be) |
