Lost and Confused Website (Poetry)
-Physical Pain All in My Mind,
When your heart hurts so much that your body aches,
that's when you know you're introuble.
At night, I lie alone in my bed,
wishing for someone to lie next to my head.
I feel pain as if I had been in a fight,
but that pain can't compare to lonely nights.
The greatest fear of Americans is death,
and the second greatest fear is to die alone.
No one would have ever known,
all the love I could have given,
for all my love - true love that is -
is very deeply hidden.
I wish there were someone
with whom my love I could share.
But everyone around me,
they seem not to care.
The candle of my love keeps on burning,
never once wax dripping
or the candle growing smaller.
My flimsy hands guard my flame,
but if it goes out it is not I who is to blame.
For how can you truly love
if there's no one there to join in on the game? ------------------------------------------------------
