Attacked at 15000ft by ME110 from under stern affecting hydraulic system. 
The ME110 pursued them for 1½ hrs across the English Channel. 
Crash landed at Marham.    McNeil and Hutchinson received wounds.

 The route to be flown was Lich-Southwold-Ouddop-Dusseldorf-Julich-Noordland-Southwold-Lich
 The bomb load was 1 500lb and 6 containers each containing 8 30lb incendaries
 7 A/C attacked the target from 8000 -13000 ft between 0206 - 0230 hrs
 No A/C was to attack the target after 0300 hrs
 Weather was mostly favourable
 Reports from the ground at a later date said McNeil's A/C crashed at 0330
 2 A/C were lost.  The other was lost near Düsseldorf
 (A/C = aircraft)
