Corset Tutorial
Okay, this is a simple tutorial on how to pixel shade a corset. The base I'm using is from iflookscouldkill.org.
To starrt with, draw an outline for the corset in the darkest shade you're using. It should go from the top of her breasts to mid hips. Got that? Good.

Next draw a line on the top of the corset. There are two different options that I use; the flatter one as shown above on the left and the "pointy" one on the right. I'll use the "pointy" one for the rest of this tutorial. The shading on both is about the same.

Next you draw a line at the bottom of the corset that goes down, and in to a point. The one on the right is a bad example of how to draw this step in. The whole corset must be symmetrical, the one on the right is un-symmetrical and goes too low down the body.
What I do next is Flood Fill the whole area inside the corset white so it's easier to see what you're doing. Then I draw a line marking the underneath of the breast on each side (Stop sniggering at the back!) Then draw 2 parallel lines down the middle for where the strings go. Notice how they go out one pixel near the breasts, this is to give the effect of the strings being pulled less tight around the chest.
Now I draw in the ribbing on the corset. These are just lines that follow the contours of the body and were originally used to pull in a womans stomach when she wore a corset. I just normally do what looks right here, it really depends on the size, shape and pose of the base as to what looks right here.
Now we start the shading. Get the next shade up from the one you've drawn the outline in and start pixelling. I always shade corset like this because I find it easier than trying to follow the shading of the actual base.
Then carry on shading with the next lightest colour. Notice how the shading around the breasts is pixelled differently to that on the body.
More shading with the next colour...
Now for one of the last steps, Just finish the shading with the next lightest colour in your pallette. You can leave the corset like this or you can add some funky ribbons or strings like this...
And there you have your finished corset!
