Shailaja Gidwani

Shailaja Gidwani is the Exhibition Manager and Co Editor for the Lost & Found project in Hong Kong.

Biography

Shailaja was born in southern India and has lived in the UK and USA before moving to Hong Kong in 1989. At the St Martins School of Art in London, she studied Lettering and Typographic Design.

Since 1990, she has been conducting art classes for children and watercolour workshops for adults. Primarily a watercolourist, her paintings are spaces that record visions from her dreams and memories of colour, that are powerfully evocative to her.

She frequently exhibits her artwork in Hong Kong while promoting and publicizing these events. Her paintings are in collections around the world.
