The Lost and Found Artists Book was displayed at the very
successful 4th
Artists’ Books + Multiples Fair held at the School of
Arts in Brisbane from October 11 to 14 2001.
The Fair was organized by Noreen Grahame of Grahame Galleries + Editions, who
is the instigator of this biennial event. It is the only one of its kind in
Australia, and attracts artists, publishers of artists' books and multiples, and
art book publishers. Such is the fame of this fair, that people consistently
travel great distances from around Australia to attend.

Anne Kirker, Curator of Prints, Drawings and Photographs, Queensland Art
Gallery, wrote in the catalogue to accompany the 2nd artists' books + multiples
fair, Brisbane: Numero Uno Publications, 1996:
"The transition of the book from a predictable information tool
to an enormously adaptable art medium which is often radical and experimental,
continues to inform the repertoire of countless artists. Since the 1960s,
bookworks have been presented at numerous exhibitions and related events
dedicated to this theme. They have become synonymous with the contemporary
postmodern environment where hierarchical value judgments are impossible to
sustain. Artists' books imply multimedia, interdisciplinary exchange, and a
vital means for the creative imagination to grow."
