RIAS BAIXAS

Rias Baixas is the leading DO wine zone in Galicia producing some of the countries most sort-after white wines. 11 different vine varieties are permitted within Rias Baixas although Albarino accounts for 90% of the vineyard area.

RIBEIRA SACRA

Ribeira Sacra , one of Spain's DOs, was created in 1996. It is the only Galician region to specialise in red wines, made from the Mencia grape, as well as producing white wines from Godello and Albarino.

RIBEIRO

Ribeiro means 'riverbank' and is the name of a red and white wine zone spanning the valleys of the River Mino and its tributaries. Treixadura, Torrontes and Lado grapes perform well in the damp, maritime climate.

VALDEORRAS

Valdeorras is the eastern most wine zone in Galicia. Garnacha and the white Palomino as well as the indigenous, white Godello grape are extensively planted. If carefully vinified, the wines can be aromatic with an alcoholic strength between 12 and 13%.
