La lógica es la ciencia filosófica que estudia el pensamiento y sus leyes, para conducirlo a la verdad.

Es una ciencia porque tiene todas las características que esta exige, a saber: universal, metódica, verdadera, comprobable, entre otras; es filosófica por que se basa en causas esenciales, ya que su estudio no tiene en cuenta causas físicas externas, y es además el instrumento del saber.

A la lógica le interesa cualquier forma de pensamiento, sea el de la vida diaria, el del científico o el del filosófico.
