currently kitty litter.

if my house had caught on fire, the non-living item that i would take out of the house with me would be my grandmother's stuffed dead cat, "mittens". my grandmother cherished that cat. it was only about five years old when it died, and would probably still be alive today if it hadn't playfully chased after that crop thresher down by the canal near my neighborhood. i'll tell you, my grandmother cried for weeks after it's death. she almost literally had a heart attack and died herself when we first discovered that poor cat, all ground up like a fuzzy beef patty.

i would also choose to save that cat because it is very flammable and would only add fuel to the flames. but if the fire were really raging, then i would probably leave it and just buy a new pre-stuffed cat at a novelty shop. my grandmother's blind, so i figure she probably wouldn't notice. besides, my parents bought her a new cat now. i think my grandmother named it "patches". gee, i wonder what will happen to it?
