i hate the bank. i tried to cash some money orders, only to learn that they had closed my account a couple months back, citing "dormancy" as their excuse for taking (admittedly) what very little money that was left in there and closing it. i know they are required by law to do so, but their excuse for closing it is a little hard to swallow. apparently, they believed that i may have been dead and, therefore, closed the account to keep malicious individuals from possibly trying to take advantage of it. why they never bothered to do something as logically simple as call up the little home phone number listed in my account to see if by some miraculous chance that i may happen to be, OH MY GOSH, still alive, continues to boggle the mind. but then again, how can i answer the phone if i'm dead?
