A barrage of seeing-eyed basehits knocked Ahumada out in the second innning. Senior Jeff Varela came in a tough spot to relieve Ahumada with one out and the
bases loaded and Wilson continued their tear as they totaled 10 runs in the second inning to put the game out of reach for Los Altos.
On a bright note, senior pitcher Jason Estrada returned to the mound and pitched a solid 3 innings, striking out 4 batters and allowing only 1 run to close out the final three frames for Los Altos.
Offensively, there was a bright note. Jjunior Daniel Sandello went 3 for 3, with a
double and extended his hitting streak to 7 games.
Los Altos will try to rebound from this humiliating defeat against Bonita High School @ 3:15 PM on Wednesday, April 7th. Sandello (3-1) is slated to make the start.
