The history of the Czech Republic To the region of Bohemia several Slavonic tribes came in the 5th century. The Czechs and the moravos were submitted by Charlemagne in the 8th century, entering in touch with the christianity. Towards 830 the moravos formed the first estate, there being formed later the Great Moravia that was including also the Czechs and western Slovaks. The Hungarian invasions in the 10th century provoked the end of the Great Moravia, the power moved to Bohemia. During the 10th century it was a state but in the 11th century it was submitted by the Germanic empire. During the reinadode Otakar II (1253-78) Bohemia and Moravia had a great brilliance. Carlos IV (1346-78) he moved to Prague the center of his government. From 1471 he governed the Polish dynasty of the Jagellón.
