| I met Amos when he was six weeks old and just fell in love with this little ball of fluff. My husband, Sid, and I visited him for a week and learned to handfeed him. I had handfed cockatiels before and felt I could do this. We made a promise to Amos that we would give him the best life we could. He is now over five years old and happy! | Here is Amos at three months old. Even though he looks pretty mature he is still a baby and being handfed. He didn't wean until he was 20 weeks old and it was his choice. I would of handfed him for ever if that is what he had wanted me to do. So, guess he was abundance weaned as they call it. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Hang on! Be Careful, you'll fall. . .is probably what he is saying as he does this weird move. He is very active and just loves his bungee toy alot. He will grab this and flapp his wings as he goes around and around. Gets some flying like exercises as he does this, plus moves alot of dust and feathers. Then looks at me wild eyed and says "Wooo!" | This is Amos letting me run the vacuum down over him. And, the vacuum is running. He was always interested in the vacuum so I put it up to him one day and he reached out with that big foot and pulled it close to him. Now he lets me actually run the thing over his body. So, I get to vacuum Amos! I tell ya this bird is nuts! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This is Amos laying on his back kicking his legs as I give him scratches. He shows me such trust, as I can do just about anything with him. I lift a wing to clip his feathers and I file his sharp nails one at a time with out toweling him at all. Amos M. Dudley is just the best pet I've ever had.
