She opened her eyes to his, so loving,
And found herself smiling to the lovely morning.
She stayed in his arms, wordlessly speaking,
To each other, their love growing.
She felt content with what and where she was,
With a innocent smile on her face with no cause.
She turned to face him, and then paused,
And she slowly traced the line of his jaw.
He reached his hand to her slender fingers,
And smiled with a gaze that never wavered.
They kissed again, their lips a-quiver,
And he couldn't help noticing she was becoming lovelier.
A surge of desire shot through his tall frame,
And he shook his head back and forth in shame.
She frowned and wondered is it was a game,
She wished she wasn't so weak, so lame.
She looked again into his soulful eyes,
And wondered where the truth lies.
He shot her a gaze and she became shy,
He lifted her head, she dare not defy.
His strong hand closed firmly around hers,
And she smiled at his boyish leer.
She closed her eyes, but opened them to peer,
At his lovely face, at who she held so dear.
His lashes long casted shadows on his handsome face,
And they were swept away, to a far away place.
She needed not words to understand what he says,
This was no short, meaningless chase.
This was after all what she wanted to do,
They became one, when they were two.
This was no wrong, she would not rue,
For this heart was sincere, this love was true.
