Promise
Oh how devastating is the love that is borne,
As I wait each day endlessly for thee, so torn.
My heart cries out to the Almighty from above,
To restore me once again with the one that I love.

Oh such sweet sorrow parting really is,
And I wait eagerly on the morrow for this.
This is a love, that only thou can give,
And my heart yearns for this life to live.

Pray, I do, each night for thy touch,
Chaste kisses, caresses and such.
Pray, do thou not abandon me yet again,
Pray, I do, to keep my mind sane.

Oh how I long for the sight of thee,
Wilt thou come and set me free?
Each moment with my eyes shut,
I relive each memory, not any less or much.

Dear one, come to my arms,
Allow to once again feel so warm.
Touch me. Tenderly as thou hast done,
Love me. As thou promised not to shun.

Leave me not again, alone in the dark,
For the hope for thee is light, even though a spark.
Take me. Away from this dungeon where I stand in chains,
And do, love me and cherish this passion yet again.

Each dark night have I spent in tears of solitude,
Not being with thee as I seemingly should.
I despair. Whenever thou art away,
My promise of love will never fray.

This promise I make to thee is true,
It shall stay as fresh as the morning dew.
With thus I promise thee that I love thee with everything,
From this moment on, in the way of my love, nothing.
