Pale Green Pants

It was the middle of the night, in 1623. A young girl from New Hampshire Colony was quietly gathering dandelions and daisies for her sick mother in the dark. Her heart burned and her eyes brimmed with tears when she thought of her dear mother, who was at the brim of death, suffering from a terrible impossible to cure disease-smallpox. Suddenly, in the distance, she spied a pair of lonely, pale-green pants, which seemed to be hanging from a dead birch tree. When the young girl went closer, she saw that the pair of pants was not hanging, but floating in midair, toward her! She screamed and started to flee, but it was too late. The menacingly glowing pair of pants caught up with her, swung a pant leg around her neck and choked her to death. Then the pants leaned over her and the girl slowly faded away. Another victim was taken by the evil pants, but not the first. That honor belongs to me-William Atkins…
