My Hu-Daddy starts our day with making our breakfast, then after we eat he takes me for my first of four walks, the fifth outing being a quick walk to the lamp post at 11:30 p.m. Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, we are a pair! Each outing we walk for four blocks. Before each walk he brushes me so I always look like a powder puff. On rainy days my Hu-Daddy puts on my long legged red wind suit (to keep my legs clean); then my blk/white rain slicker with visor. As soon as I have done my business I jump on his leg, he picks me up and carries me under that big umbrella so I am up high, off that wet ground. I just love the 'ride'.
When it snows he puts my purple snow suit on me. It keeps the ice balls from forming on my furry legs as we go off to chase each other in the snow and look for any of my 29 doggie friends who also live on the Quay. When we come home my Hu-Daddy wraps me in warm towels fresh from the dryer, puts me in my Snuggle bed, and soon I'm asleep, dreaming that "I've died and gone to Heaven!!!" Some people call me "Daddy's Girl" but I'm a "Mommy's Girl" too! My name is Blissful but everyone calls me Miss Bliss. I was 12 years old June 18, 2006 and have been with my Hu-Daddy and Hu-Mommy since I was eight months old!! What a grand life I have!!! |
