The Craiger Summer Vacation 2003

I wanted to share the wonderful time we had on our vacation this summer, so I built this page. We went to Jasper, Georgia where we rented a cabin in the mountains. Jasper is in the northwestern part of Georgia. The community where the cabin is located is called Bent Tree Community. It has 24 hour security and it is built up on the side of the mountain with winding streets and deer everywhere, not to mention some other wildlife and some very exotic insects. The cabin we stayed in is on Sleepy Hollow Circle. It was the only cabin on that circle. The community is still expanding and building. It is also wrapped around a very beautiful lake. There is a golf course, a swimming pool and beach on the lake, and stables for horses. It is a very beautiful community and the countryside with the mountains is beautiful too. There was only one problem, as you will see in the pictures, there are scorpions in northwest Georgia. We did find out that they are not poisonous or very aggressive. They do sting, but it would be like a bee sting. Most people just get a little swelling and redness and pain at the site, but some have become sick. Other than that and a few traffic problems, we had a very enjoyable vacation.
