Roaming around ROME!
Welcome to Rome! I travelled with the University of Gloucestershire to Rome for a week. The professor Nigel knew a wealth of information on the History of the Early Christian Church so I learned a lot too! There's many more pictures from this trip so contact me if you want to view more on the CD.
Here I am at the Trevi Fountain on the first evening. Notice the gloves? It was SOO cold, even for Rome in April! The Roman Colloseum was first on the list. Gladiators fought here in the arena.
Just outside St. Peter's in the Vatican, where the Pope lives. Meet my new friends/roomies from the trip! (Thanks for teaching me the lingo of the Spice Rack... Happy Birfday!)
Across from the Colloseum is the Roman Forum with the remnants of Rome's ancient city centre.
Saint Paul's Cathedral is enormous inside! The marble columns and floors are incredible.
This is a fountain in the Villa Borghese near the Borghese Museum. The Bernini sculptures inside were my favourite.
